Welcome Back to the Yorkville Music Boosters
Your Yorkville Music Boosters organization is here to support our music program at all levels in any way we can. We continue to operate through the generous support of our patrons and the countless hours worked by our parent volunteers.
We have many things planned to help enrich the musical experiences available in our schools. We always need volunteers — for small projects, big projects, and ideas of all sizes — so come to a meeting, call to help out with a specific project, or make a tax deductible donation to support our efforts. We will be as strong and as active as our volunteers make us. Bring us your ideas and your enthusiasm in order to make them happen.
¯ Our Red Paw Chili Supper returns this year in November at YHS. This is an evening of good food, fun, and music for the whole family.
¯ Our box top fundraiser also continues this year. This is a great way to support the music boosters while you collect box tops and turn them into your students music teacher.
¯ We continue to maintain our student escrow accounts. Any student who participates in any of our fundraisers has a portion of the profit from their sales set aside for them to use to further their own music education.
¯ We will again offer scholarships to students who attend summer music camps or perform in outside ensembles. These are awarded in May.
¯ We are once again hosting music events at YMS. IMEA auditions in the fall, and Solo and Ensemble competitions in the spring. The Boosters are vital in supplying volunteers for such events!

Yorkville Music Boosters Mission Statement
Mission statement: The mission of the Yorkville Music Boosters is to provide a framework for parental involvement in supporting and promoting the choirs, orchestras and bands in grades 5-12 in CUSD 115.
¯ To raise necessary funds to support the goals of the organization.
¯ To acquire and maintain a community supported Patrons list and to reciprocate and promote patron businesses within the community.
¯ To provide scholarships for summer camps, musical opportunities outside the district, and college scholarships for future music majors.
¯ To maintain student escrow accounts which may be used for music related expenses
¯ To provide financial assistance for music trips at all levels
¯ To provide financial support for clinicians, judges, guest artists, and composers
¯ To support the music educators in district 115 as needed and requested
¯ To promote, educate, and bring awareness of the many music programs to the community
¯ Provide awards and student recognition in Grades 5-12
¯ To provide volunteer hours to support the music staff and students behind the scenes at concerts, competitions, parades, festivals, and musicals
¯ Increase parental involvement at all levels
¯ purchase additional instruments for beginning student use
¯ provide financial support for music related trips and expenses
¯ Increase Patron list by 40% by the Prism Concert in December. That is approximately 16 new Patron’s.
¯ Develop and implement a spirit wear website
¯ Establish committees based on needed events, activities and processes

The Yorkville Music Boosters . . .
¯ Are dedicated to supporting and promoting orchestra, band, and choir in grades 5-12 in the district.
¯ Sponsored over 30 music scholarships to camps, outside ensembles, and colleges last year.
¯ Purchased instruments for the district including funding for a new piano at Yorkville High School.
¯ Published “Music Notes” biannually honoring music student accomplishments and programs.
¯ Provided awards for student recognition and motivation.
¯ Provided thousands of volunteer hours supporting the music staff and students behind the scenes and at competitions, parades, and concerts.
In addition to our ongoing goals, this years goals include:
v Purchase of additional instruments for beginning music student use
v Additional instrument storage and maintenance for our growing programs at YMS and YHS
v Provide financial support for guest artists and composers
v Hire clinicians and adjudicators for special events
v Support the YMS Music Department Annual spring trip to Festival In the Parks
v Hire Judges and coordinate volunteers for the 6th grade and Middle School Solo and Ensemble Competitions
